A word from Pierre
The "Du Fleuve" cetacean-watching base on the banks of the St Lawrence in Quebec is certainly the best cetacean-watching spot in this part of Canada. The base is run by four young enthusiasts, including Robin, the son of our expert Cathy Lacourbas.
This base is a perfect example of the future of respectful and authentic whale watching.
The Shelltone Whale Project's cetacean-watching charter is fully respected.

Dolphin and whale watching trip to Les Escoumins (Quebec, Canada)
Come aboard our intimate 12-passenger zodiacs and let our team of enthusiasts guide you as you discover the treasures of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence River.
Whales, seals, seabirds... each outing is a respectful immersion into the heart of an exceptional ecosystem, in compliance with the approach rules laid down by the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park.
On our cruises, we use a hydrophone to try and listen to the songs of the whales, particularly the belugas. However, because of the increased shipping traffic during the day and in high season, we recommend departures at 6.30 am and cruises in low season (May and June) to maximise the chances of an unforgettable sound experience.
